The god Heimdall is the son of God Odin and nine mothers in Scandinavian mythology. Heimdall lived near the rainbow Bivrest Bridge (the bridge that connects earth and heaven) leading to Asgard and stood guard over it. As a guardian of the gods, he was distinguished by sharp eyesight and hearing. He sees day and night at a distance of one hundred miles and hears the leaves falling, the grass growing in the field and the wool on the sheep. He is a reliable guard because he does not need to sleep at all.
He has got a gold horn. Heimdall’s horn is famous for the fact that its sound is heard in all worlds, the god wears it on the belt and never parted with it.
He also has the nicknames Bright, Clean and Graceful, which he fully deserves, since he was both kind and beautiful, and all the gods loved him.
Heimdall's hallmark was his golden teeth, sparkling when he smiled. For this, he received the nickname Gullintani (golden-toothed).
